ADAMS MORGAN– With the thunderous roar of Navy fighter jets in the background, a fashionable crowd gathered inside Adams Morgan’s historic L’Aiglon Mansion on Friday night for Luke’s Wings‘ third annual runway show fundraiser.

An organization dedicated to the support of service members who have been wounded in battle, Luke’s Wings purchases travel agency services and travel tickets for the family members of injured soldiers, in order to encourage and motivate the service member’s recovery by ensuring that he/she is surrounded by loved ones while hospitalized.

Friday night’s fashion fundraiser saw 16 models, including four active duty service members, walk a makeshift aircraft carrier runway featuring the latest fashions from designer and artist Don Patron and local luxury shops Saks Fifth Avenue of Tysons Galleria, Aram Boutique, and Ella-Rue.
