Washington, DC – The TGR Foundation, a Tiger Woods Charity, with the support of long-time supporters, Lockheed Martin, have selected Luke’s Wings as the 2018 Military Charity of the Year. This year’s award will be presented at The Quicken Loans National held at TPC Avenel June 27th – July 1st in Bethesda, Maryland. Luke’s Wings has extended invitations to beneficiary families and special guests that have supported the organization, in all aspects, over the past decade.

Members of the TGR Foundation, Lockheed Martin and Luke’s Wings will attend The National Military Appreciation Luncheon on Wednesday, June 27th. “We are so thrilled to receive this award from both the Tiger Woods Foundation and Lockheed Martin” says Lindsay Gill, Luke’s Wings Executive Director. “With this recognition, we celebrate the impact Luke’s Wings has had over the last 10 years but are reminded that there are countless flights still needed to ensure our wounded, ill and injured service members are supported on their journey to recovery.”

Remarks from the Tiger Woods Foundation and Lockheed Martin will kick off the luncheon before TGR Foundation President & CEO, Rick Singer, presents Luke’s Wings with a proclamation recognizing the organization as the 2018 Military Charity of the Year. Along with receiving an honorary proclamation, Luke’s Wings will also be presented with a donation of $10,000 to support their on-going mission.

The Quicken Loans National is a leader in military appreciation efforts with features honoring those who have served throughout the tournament. These features include the Lockheed Martin Military Pavilion, where complimentary tickets are provided to active, reserve, retired and National Guard members and the Military Heroes Wall where guests can leave a message of appreciation for members of the Armed Forces.
